What we do

​

This is simply a collection of information about Franklin and Simpson County Kentucky.  As each year passes more and more information is lost with the passing of our citizens because their memories are the greatest source of information about the past.  Physical evidence of our past still exist in the people, the buildings, newspapers, pictures, legal documents.  We seek to explore these physical remnants while filling in the gaps and adding context through the knowledge others.

We are fortunate that we live in an age where research is possible with a computer and an internet connection.  The fact that we don't have to travel to a distant city and dig through records is a true blessing.  Information being accessible from the comfort of your home has made it possible for more individuals to research and add information.  With the lack of a central website for Franklin, Kentucky History, this is just a small portion of information being made available.
